Rugby has a player position for every type of athlete and everyone plays. Our qualified Coaches are all former players and certified to coach rugby. The coaches love the game and will help you learn the how to play quickly and safely.
Come along for a few sessions and see if you like rugby. If you are in Middle school, our sister Club, the West Suburban Barbarians is the place for you, where both boys and girls can play.

about RUGBY
-
Rugby was first played at Rugby school in England in 1823 when during a game of soccer William Webb Ellis supposedly picked up the ball and ran with it.
-
Rugby is played in over 120 countries worldwide and is the third most played sport in the world.
-
The first Rugby World Cup was held in 1987 and takes place every four years with the winner receiving the Webb Ellis Cup. France will host in 2023. The USA are planning to make a bid to host a future World Cup.
-
Rugby returned to the Olympics in 2016 with the 7 a-side version. Both the USA men and women have teams. The USA national teams are called the Eagles.
-
Rugby USA is the governing body in the USA, but High School and Youth rugby has been split off and is now represented by USA Youth & High School Rugby www.usavhsrugby.org.
Meet the Coaches
All of our coaches played rugby at some point whether in college or perhaps as a lad in the UK. They are all certified to coach youth rugby by USA Rugby. This includes extensive training and certification in coaching techniques and the rules of rugby. More importantly, instruction emphasizes safety (proper tackling techniques, concussion protocols, and more).
